Eddy Hood holds a master's degree in studio arts with a minor in art history. His work has been shown at the Crocker Museum, Sacramento; the Oakland Museum of California; and the Muckenthaler Cultural Center, Los Angeles. His work is in the collections of the Oakland Museum and the California State Library's special collections.
He provides experienced, period-sympathetic restorations of historic and contemporary bindings, documents, maps and drawings. This process includes stabilization, reinforcement, reconstruction and color matching to objects having fragile or damaged paper, leather, and cloth. Archival materials and reversible treatments are utilized throughout. |
